Green Army Updates – July 2016

We are already over half way through 2016 and our Campbell Page Green Army environmental conservation projects are showing no sign of slowing down.

July-August is shaping up to be one of our busiest months with over 39 projects operating across New South Wales, including Parkes, Holbrook, Bathurst and Lithgow, and Queensland, including Kenmore and Beaudesert.

Throughout 2016, our program continues to deliver strong results with:

• 25% of participants entering into our programme identifying as Indigenous Australians.
• 10% of participants entering into our program identify as having a medical condition or disability.
• 37% of participants that leave the program prior to graduation are leaving to early to take up employment and training opportunities.
• Our programs have assisted various volunteer organisations in attracting our graduating participants into their volunteer workforces.

Round 5 has now closed and we are waiting for the results eagerly. Thank you to all existing hosts who again extended their support to our programme through submitting new project applications. We also welcome a number of new host partnerships across New South Wales and Queensland who have submitted project applications – we look forward to working with your organisations in the near future to assist in environmental conservation in your area.

Campbell Page Green Army would like to thank Skillset who coordinated round 5 applications and assisted a large number of our partner organisations to draft and submit the applications.

The Green Army is a hands-on, practical environmental action programme that supports local environmental conservation projects across Australia. It is an Australian Government Programme for young people aged 17–24 years who are interested in protecting their local environment.
