Together, we have been making a difference at Campbell Page for 30 years now across communities Australia wide. We are proud to be having a positive effect amongst young, indigenous, regional, disadvantaged and marginalised groups.
So why not share more about the difference we have made?
Introducing ‘Making a difference in every heartbeat’, a monthly update sharing the stories that matter most. For the month of September we’d like to introduce our mates Kyle and Jayson.

“My motto is to always take something good out of every situation”
Originally from WA, Kyle made the move to Rosebud VIC by himself in 2011. With no family support, KyIe was unable to transfer his WA driving license at the time. Initially, Kyle tried to land on his feet with a position at the local McDonalds, yet found it difficult to get to work and also struggled to interpret the workplace instructions.
The months that followed led to a battle with anxiety and a diagnosed personality disorder. Until he met Paula from Campbell Page, Kyle was uncertain about his direction in life. Paula was able to help Kyle get where he needed to be, using a ‘stepping stone approach’ working from the ground up. Campbell Page were able to fund driving lessons for Kyle, to help him receive his Victorian license. Paula also worked one on one with Kyle, encouraging him to pursue his interests in Business and IT by starting a Certificate II in Business with Campbell Page Online.
By getting back into a learning environment, Kyle has been able to build on his confidence. Kyle now follows a weekly routine of study at the Campbell Page office in Rosebud, allowing him to complete his first Semester recently! Kyle is now on the pathway towards achieving his big picture goals and has a new lease on life.

“…The training I’ve received will be able to help me get a job in the future”
Jayson did not get an easy start in life. Raised in a family with two brothers and a sister with a disability, Jayson tragically lost his mother by the age of 14 and then his father in unexpected circumstances only four years later. Jayson had to find his feet at a very young age, as his older brother was unable to find work to support the family. The family were now existing solely on government benefits, and Jayson needed to get some work experience yet had little support to help him get started. A close friend of Jayson’s was already established in a program called the Green Army, and he encouraged Jayson to sign up online.
Initially hesitant, Jayson wasn’t sure he had the skills to be able to make a decent contribution. The Green Army however, has inspired Jayson since to continue working with his hands even at home, where he is rebuilding the garden his dad initially planted. Following the footsteps of his Dad’s hobbies, has enabled Jayson a better sense of purpose in his life.
Participating in the Green Army has provided Jayson with the training and qualifications needed to get him started in the workplace. The program has also relieved the family in some of their financial struggles, and in Jayson’s own words, the Green Army has had a “huge impact” on his life!
