Staff in Focus: Your Story is My Story

My name is Zoe and I’ve been on both sides of the ‘desk’ at Campbell Page.

I’ve been with the organisation for 6 years. In that time, I’ve had a few roles at different hubs and collected lots of stories along the way.

I know first-hand the difference that our support can make to a person’s life, because once upon a time I was a Campbell Page job seeker.

Your story is my story.

As a young person I had a situation at home where I needed to move out. With the help and support of the Campbell Page community, I could do it.

The time and energy that was put into me, meant that I ended up finishing school and building a life for myself. I was definitely inspired, so when I was ready for work – I applied for a job at Campbell Page.

I’m now in such a lucky position to be able to do what I do, the actions that we take at Campbell Page make a big difference in people’s lives – I think it’s easy to lose sight of that sometimes.

I know very well the value of what we do and it only takes a few people to care.

I was taught how to improve my own life when I needed it most. I was given a chance and for that reason, I am dedicated to making sure that we give every one of our customers that opportunity.

Sometimes I share my story with job seekers to let them know that I do understand, that I’ve been there, in their shoes – sometimes that personal insight helps connect them with future possibilities.

We all have a story to share. My situation is not necessarily the same as yours, but I do know what it’s like to need support and an opportunity to find work. I’ve been at the other side of the desk and I know that things can change and before you know it, your life can turn around completely.
